Corrigendum
for the book:
The Theory of the Moiré Phenomenon, Vol. II

In spite of all proofreading efforts, printing errors and typos still remain unavoidable. This book is no exception to this rule.

In this page we provide a list of corrections for the main typos and printing errors detected in the book. We hope to incorporate these corrections in next editions of the book in the future.

List of corrections:

P. 39, line 13:   "[Yellot83]" should be replaced by "[Yellott83]".

P. 57, line 3 of the figure legend:   "by a cross" should be replaced by "by a white cross".

P. 98:   The page header should be replaced by "3. Glass patterns and fixed loci".

P. 100:   The page header should be replaced by "3. Glass patterns and fixed loci".

P. 102:   The page header should be replaced by "3. Glass patterns and fixed loci".

P. 104:   The page header should be replaced by "3. Glass patterns and fixed loci".

P. 111, Figure 4.1:   an upper bar should be added on top of the letter g in "g(x,y)" and in "g(x,y) - (x,y)".

P. 111, line 3 of the figure legend:   an upper bar should be added on top of the letter g in "g(x,y)".

P. 122, line 11:   replace "is:⁷" by "is:⁸".

P. 153, Figure 4.23(a):   an upper bar should be added on top of the letter g in "g(x,y)".

P. 154, lines 14-15:   "the paragraph following Proposition 4.1" should be replaced by "Remark 4.2".

P. 164, line -7:   "y = -q/delta₁" should be replaced by "y = -q/delta₂".

P. 177, line -4:   "on their" should be replaced by "in their".

P. 211, Figure 6.12(b):   a few dot rows at the top of the figure are erroneously shown shifted by about 1 mm to the right.

P. 260, line 22:   add at the end the following phrase: "But as we have seen in Sec. 7.4.4, in cases with non-linear layer transformations it may also happen that more than one of the replicas survive in the aperiodic case.".

P. 416, line 17:   add after the parenthesese the words "of f and g".

P. 437, line -5:   "on its" should be replaced by "in its".

P. 462, line 11:   "1D periodic" should be replaced by "1-fold periodic".

P. 462, line 18:   "2D periodic" should be replaced by "2-fold periodic".

P. 472:   add at the end of the Glossary the definitions of the terms "1D" and "2D" as in the Glossary of Vol. I, Ed. 2.

P. 477, line -6:   "20040001604" should be replaced by "2004/0001604".

P. 488:   add in the book index the following entry: "kinematics 6; see also shift".
